USP <51> Preservative Challenge Testing

Preservative Challenge Testing evaluates a product’s ability to resist microbial attack over time. These methods determine if your product will spoil after consumer use.

The USP <51> challenge test utilizes different microorganisms for challenge testing. Each of the microorganisms are known strains of pathogenic microorganisms and they represent a wide range of microbial physiologies.
